I believe that diet and exercise alone aren’t enough to lead you to a well-balanced life; that a healthy life isn’t just about kale and quinoa; that all areas of your life are connected, and that a person should be able to lose weight while enjoying dining out as much as they always have.
Maybe stress at work is causing you to overeat. Or lack of sleep on the road is leaving you too exhausted to exercise. Perhaps jet lag is dragging you down or your work has all but eliminated your creativity.
Exploring these connections is the basis of a holistic approach.
Chances are you know how to eat healthily and that taking the stairs rather than the elevator will help your cardiovascular strength. In fact, you probably know a lot about health. Let’s face it, there are books, magazines, DVD’s, podcasts, YouTube videos, Facebook pages, Facebook groups, blogs, websites, and TV shows that spout advice incessantly. Information overload is classic understatement when it comes to the $40 billion a year diet industry.
Maybe you don’t know where to get started because there is so much information. Maybe you do really “well” on a diet or exercise program for a few weeks, possibly even a few months before falling back into old habits. Maybe your wellness program at work has you going through the motions and checking off boxes but you’re not seeing or feeling real change. Something is missing from the mix.

With old belief systems out of the way, you’ll be amazed at how much more easily you’ll adopt new habits.
I provide accountability because you have to show up for yourself if you’re going to change. Accountability isn’t about entering the number of calories you’ve eaten into a device or website. Accountability is meeting with me (via phone or Skype) and saying, “I did great last week. I had no trouble sticking to the recommendations.” Or, it’s being able to say, “You know what? I had a really hard time this week. What can I do?”
The right system will slice through the confusing messages from the health “industry” to find what works for you as an individual. There is no one-size fits all approach to wellness. We can’t all cut carbs, eat Paleo or follow a vegan lifestyle to look and feel great. Meditation isn’t everyone’s preferred way of handling stress, nor is hitting a golf ball. Some people will only run when they’re being chased, others are addicted to a 5-mile a day routine.
I will work with you to find what rings your bell, what fits into your lifestyle and schedule, and most of all, to find what you love and what is right for your body so that living healthier is not a chore but a pleasure.
